What do you actually specialize in?
Acne, hyperpigmentation, texture, and anti-aging. Chemical peels and liquid microneedling are my preferred treatments; I do not offer facials.
Where are you located?
Makeup by Jaya Studio in Northeast, Washington DC. Exact address provided after booking. Free parking is available.
Do you only work with melanin-rich skin?
No. I specialize in melanin-rich skin, but all shades are welcome.
How much do treatments cost?
Treatments start at $180. Full payment is required at the time of booking, due to limited availability, via PayPal — a secure, trusted payment platform.
Do you offer free consultations?
Absolutely not. I do not offer traditional consultation appointments (paid or complimentary) for first-time clients. My assessment process is entirely virtual, and that's the only way in. Review How Booking Works for the full process.
Why can't I just book online?
These treatments aren't for everyone. DM me "SKIN" to start. You'll have your booking link within 24 hours, if you're a fit.
Are these treatments for me?
Is a chemical peel safe for dark skin?
Yes. Every peel I do is customized the day of your appointment. That's the difference between a peel that gets you results and one that leaves new dark marks behind.
Chemical peel or liquid microneedling — which do I need?
Depends on your skin. I'll provide recommendations before you book.
Do you offer a no-downtime option?
Yes. I can modify treatments for little to no visible peeling — expect light flaking at most. Results are slower this way, but it's a real option if visible downtime isn't workable for you.
Do you offer pregnancy-safe options?
Absolutely. I'll need clearance from your OBGYN before we book your treatment.
What to expect
How do I prepare for my appointment?
Stop any prescription skincare (like prescription retinoids) 7 days before your appointment, and avoid other active ingredients (retinol, exfoliating acids) for 3-5 days prior. Come in with a clean face and no recent excessive sun exposure. I'll walk you through anything specific to your skin after booking.
How many sessions until I see results?
Most clients see a noticeable difference after one appointment. The real change happens within 3-6 sessions.
How long does the peeling process last?
Everyone responds to peels differently. Most clients start peeling around day 3, and peeling lasts 7-10 days post-peel.
Do you provide skincare routines?
Yes. After booking, your confirmation email includes a skin assessment form. That's what I use to build your customized routine. We'll go over post-peel care at your appointment.
